What is it?
A moderated user test is a live playtest with a potential player of your game, supervised by a UX expert. The test assesses the player's experience as they play, with support on hand to work around known issues, gauge how players feel at key moments, and provide help if they get stuck. Drawing on their UX research experience, Sami will help you create a test plan built specifically for your game, then organise, run and write up the tests. This will then give you a picture of the effectiveness of your intended design and help inspire areas for improvement.
Why is it useful?
- Have real potential players play your game before release to beat the launch day algorithm.
- Illuminate how key areas of your game’s design work through targeted testing.
- We will arm you with metrics to help prioritise problem areas of your project while highlighting positives for key stakeholders.
